J’ai acheté cette pelle en novembre. Lors de la première neige qui avait eu le temps de se taper ce fut un peu difficile. Depuis dès les premières heures de tempête, c’est l’idéal car la neige est assez légère ce qui me prenait 1hre et demi me prend 45minutes. Il faut juste se rappeler que c’est une pelle et non une souffleuse!!! Étant blessée à l’épaule je ne peux pas soulever la neige et elle est super pratique pour moi. Pour la neige mouillée ce n’est pas l’idéal.

Efficient design

When most Canadians think of snowfall they think of huge expensive machines for clearing it, but this little guy proves to be highly efficient and mobile, all in such a small form factor! Suprising efficiency and lightweight design make it an excellent tool for sidewalks and driveways. My senior mom even uses it out front!

Not worth the effort.

The idea of this product is a good one, but the design needs to be tweaked. I found it was faster to just shovel the old fashioned way as opposed to going and plugging in the shovel and hauling around a cord.
There is no way to control the direction of the blown snow. It only goes straight ahead- which would work well for a deck; not so much for a sidewalk. When using it on the sidewalk you almost have to use it like a vacuum, with a back and forth angled motion. But not being able to direct the snow, I was concerned about grabbing a rock or ice chunk and breaking the neighbors (or my own) windows. It does have a lot of power to throw just a few inches of snow...I don't think it would be that effective on a really heavy, wet snow.
If this was a rechargeable/cordless shovel, with the ability to direct the snow, I would've found it a lot more useful. But perhaps that would make it too heavy.
As it is now, I think I'll stick to my good ol' manual shovel.

Good for snow removal. Only throws snow in one direction. Would be nice if it was on wheels for those that can't lift much or have mobility issues. Would be easier to roll around if on wheels. Not great on uneven surfaces but will get the job done.

Very easy to use, shoots the snow far. Great for walkways and between cars. Not so much for very wet snow, but it got the job done.

A: It blows snow about 15 - 20 feet away in front of itself. The snow comes out of the highest part of the unit. Works well :)

A: Yes, I was able to use mine on steps. The unit weighs around 10 lbs, so I think it would really matter what kind of steps you are referring to. At some point a shovel might be more suitable.

Q: Where can I get a replacement auger for a jobmate electric snow shovel I purchased a jobmate electric snow shovel from Canadian tire a few years ago and the plastic auger cracked. The shovel works great and I'd like to keep using it but I can't find a replacement plastic auger piece.

Q: Extension cord What type of extension cord is needed for this? Does it need a heavy duty cord to run properly or just a basic outdoor extension cord?

A: for a 50' cord we recommend a 16 gauge. 100' 14 gauge. 150' 12 gauge. use only a CSA-listed extension cord that is approved for outdoor use, such as Type SJTW, and that has a lower temperature rating of -40° F (-40° C).

Q: Does this have wheels to push? Does the shovel have wheels to push or do you have to hold the weight of it in you arms like an actual shovel?

There is no constant lifting required when shoveling as the snow shovel is designed to automatically throw snow.The snow shovel has an auxiliary handle to offer support for easier handling. Q: Left-Handed Use I am left-handed and find trying to use the yellow button/control handle very awkward. Do I need to keep a finger on the button all the time or will pressing the control handle keep the machine going? Is there a way to make left-hand use easier? . .

A: The yellow button and lever need to be engaged to start the snowthrower; once it has started the yellow button does not need to be held down during operation.
