Hello Harry We are sorry to hear your charger is not performing. Please allow us to provide some troubleshooting suggestions. Ensure that when you put the battery into the charger that you hear an audible click and the battery cannot slide out, if the battery is not secured it will not charge. If you leave your charger plugged in at all times please be sure to unplug and reset it. Chargers are not recommended to be plugged in for prolonged periods of time. If this does not resolve the issue, we would like to troubleshoot this issue further with you, please contact us at 1-866-523-5218 or email us on csr@sunrisetools.ca; we are here to provide you with support.

I have used this for about 5 years and have had very little trouble with it but I see the product has been discontinued and you can rewind the line with bulk spools.

A: hello
just an update to the answer...
"You can purchase a new charger. The cost is $25.00 plus tax total $27.45. All you have to do is call the yardworks customer service number at 1-866-523-5218. You will need your product # 60-2273. You will be transferred to Sunrise Service and they will take your order. You should have your new charger in a week."
you can still buy it in the summer of 2011, now the price is $27.50, $31.08 with taxes. but other than that, all info is still correct.

Q: Is it possible to replace the line in the spool yourself, and if so, how is it done?
1 Answer
A: yes it is. remove the spool. place the end of approx. 20' of 0.065 line in the notch in the spool, wind the rest of the line onto the spool as directed by the arrows on the spool. replace the spool in the trimmer head, feeding the line through the eyelet, secure the spool cover.
