To good to be true

We have bought multiple hoses and have returned them within a matter of WEEKS. They all break. Doesn't matter if you buy the blue or black one, they have all broken on us. Don't waste your time or money on this hose.

Shrinking Garden Hose

I purchased this hose because I have trouble lugging heavy hoses around so was thrilled to find something that was easy to handle. It was great for one summer but when I hooked it up for a second season, it sprayed water everywhere from the fittings. My neighbour has bought two of these hoses with the same result. Good idea but the quality is not there. Better to spend a little more on something that doesn't end up in the landfill after one season. I am going to contact the company to let them know that their product is unsatisfactory.

This gimmick won't last.

The idea of a light weight hose that takes up very little room is great. If it actually held together. Mine was purchased in the spring of last year and failed yesterday. The integrity of the hose weakens and starts to spray, then seconds later blows a part. I'll buy a conventional hose now. They're far more durable. Don't spend your money on these. They are complete garbage.

Bought a 75 foot hose in May 2015. In July 2016 2 holes blew out the hose. No help from XHose company. It was very easy to use but should last longer than 15 months....especially since it only gets used 6 months of the year.

Q: When was it improved and did this make it more robust? So many reviews say it is junk and the photo of box says improved.

1 Answer

A: Yes the improvements have made the hose more robust, which was validated through lab testing. Additional improvements were made as requested specifically by Canadian Tire, and this resulted in making the Canadian Tire version more durable, than the versions being sold to other retailers. Some of the reviews reflect the previous version, as the new version product looks similar to the previous version (aesthetically).
