The WORX 20V MAKER X Wood and Metal Crafter Tool is a compact, easy-to-use tool for detailed work. It heats up in 30 seconds and can reach temperatures from 400° to 900 °F, making it ideal for wood, soldering, and metal crafting projects. This tool is part of the MAKERX series and uses a rechargeable 20V Power Share battery, which is compatible with all WORX 20V and 40V tools. The package includes 9 wood-burning and 1 soldering tip for various applications. The tool is also equipped with a 4' long cord for easy maneuvering. The Hub and battery are not included.

Q: i have the weed eater but would like to purchase the wood burning and metal tools... does the battery for the weed eater work with the wood burning and metal tool kit? thanks.
4 years agoA: No, they do not work, I purchased this combo unit after reading the battery does work and they have different guides on the battery so I guess I am stuck with the Markx unit with 1 battery and cannot use my spare 2 batteries

Q: The tip that is on the crafting tool is that a spacer or is that the woodburning tip or possibly a soldery tip?
4 years agoA: Fyi, the tip on the crafting tip that I think you're talking about is a spacer/fastener. On the inside, there is a ceramic rod that transfers heat which should not be directly applied to any working surfaces (so that you don't get residue build-up. The outer silver part in the image is the outer sleeve that is used to hold any tips in place. It might heat up a bit, but I wouldn't reccomend using it for wood burning or soldering, as it doesn't make direct contact with the ceramic heater, so it would likely be much less hot than your temperature settings indicate

Q: How do you engrave on metal to inscribe and personalize a key ring actually is what I am trying to do. I am not figuring out how to do and have been trying to research a video using the tool as an engraver.

Q: My word burner keeps turning off after a few minutes with the error slp shown on the temperature display. What’s going on?
3 years agoA: SLP stands for sleep mode. When the tool is not used for a while it enters sleep mode and turns the heat off as a safety measure. When the user picks up the tool again it will begin to reheat. The user would need to press the power button to fully power off the tool.

Q: Does the paint sprayer come with the combo? And which one?

Q: What brand tips work with this tool? The universal tips I have do Not work. Previously asked with "most" being the answer. I will buy whatever I need to, but need to know what will work. I like the tool, but need more tip options.
