If you want to go backpacking

Bought it on sale. Sturdy appears to be well made. Great when backpacking.

Good pack for the price but..

I bought this pack on sale the other week. It has all the features that more expensive packs have. Nice sized compartment for a sleeping bag that is seperated with a shelf from the main compartment. The lid is a floating lid which i like. Decent padding on the hips and shoulder straps. Zippers work great. My 12 yr old and I took this out for a shakedown hike yesterday. The buckles and keepers held well. I am wondering how long the elastic materiel for the waterbottle pockets will last. Also the side pockets are only good for small items. Once the pack is full you lose any depth they had. Still useful for maps and small items. The rainfly is good, but you have to work it arond the string to get it fit properly. My only major concern is the waistbelt. Right from the start it started to squeak. The plastic frame flexes when you walk, and it rubs agains the foam padding. No matter what I did I couldn't get rid of the squeak, it was kinda annoying. I'm going to email Woods and see what advice they can give then I will update my reveiw. A very comfortable pack with all the bells and whistles of more expensive packs..

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Great Pack!!!

I've had this pack for 2 years now and have used it on 6+ backcountry camp trips. Ive done weights from 40-70 LBS and it held up great. Only this is the chest strap broke off and one of the side straps but easy fixes and expected when used hard over the years all in all great product!

    Excellent Value

I used this pack on a two day hike in the backwoods of Kananaskis Country and a three day hike into Glacier Lake, Banff National Park. It is very comfortable and durable. The rain cover worked 100%. It has all the features without the cost as some of the other packs on the market.

    Good product overall

Visually very nice. Light weight easy to put on and comfortable. Holds 50lbs with no issue. I had some concerns about how it would stand up to sharp corners or objects rubbing over an extended period. I will post when I have that answer.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 5 of 5 Questions

Q: How would I be able to hold my Sleeping Bag? Would I have to buy two additional clips?

    1 Answer
    • A: We would always recommend placing your sleeping bag on the inside of your pack, but in the case where space is at a premium, this questions will greatly depend on the type of sleeping bag stuff sack. If this is an SR buckle stuff sack, we would attach it to the side using the compression straps but ensure you clip the SR buckle through the compression strap so you’re assured it does not fall.

Q: If it went in when I tipped a canoe would the items inside get wet?

    1 Answer
    • A: Yes – the backpacks is sinched and not waterproof. If the customer is looking for a waterproof pack, they can look at our Portage series 0766057 or 0766058.
