    SHOULD BE RECALLED!

15L vs standard 20L water storage containers seemed like a good idea; they'd be easier for kids, etc., to move around when full. The "interlocking" (air quotes) stacking feature also seemed like a good idea. So, I bought 4 (four) of them, only to discover when I proceeded to sanitize them, before filling, that the design and manufacture is horrible. THESE ARE BASICALLY USELESS AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. 1) THEY LEAK around the cap, even though there is a rubber gasket and for all intents and purposes the threads seem well made. No amount of varying degrees of tightness would stop my caps from leaking. 3) As others have previously noted, it is impossible to completely empty them. 4) The moulding process leaves a curved surface in front of the dispensing hole, so that there is no way in heck that you will get your last 3 ounces of water out of these unless you shake the heck out of them while turning them every direction at the same time. 5) All those angled edges and curved moulding gives water all kinds of places to run into when you set it up for normal dispensing. 3) There is no spigot available and to manually add one to the threaded cap looks like the cap (or your fingers) would get mangled while trying. On a positive note, there certainly is a venting hole: it is actually a tube moulded into the handle. It is designed to work when you completely remove the cap when it is set upright to dispense. Water flows out of the bottom of the container opening, while air gets sucked up inside the handle into the top of the container. Just picture that: removing the entire cap to pour it. LOL
    • Curved surface should be flat.
    • Leaks, impossible to get last 2 ounces out of container.

    Solid, good shape, good size

These water containers are a good size. 15 ltrs makes for a weight of about 35 lbs which is easier to carry than a 23 ltr container. They are of rectangular shape and are slightly less than 12" high making them easier to store. They are made very robust and can take alot of handling. Also they don't have a vent relief valve so once the cap is on, they won't leak. The trade off is that they don't pour so great despite claiming ventless design. I think they're one of the best portable water tanks out there.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Worst design

This is the worst design for a water container. There is no air hole so water does not pour correctly. Next and worse is the face the hole is not flus with the side/bottom. Hence, it is impossible to drain all the water out before storage. You have to constantly shake it and drain as water gets in the handle. Terrible design.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    1) The bung has a thread in it for a tap, but none is supplied. 2) As happens the Reliance tap does fit.... but, unlike in the reliance water tanks, the mouth of the hole is not large enough for the tap to fit inside when not in use so you are left with a tap sticking out to get broken. 3) There seems to be no Woods tap available made for this product. 4) there is no breather hole near the top... seems I will have to drill one (voiding any guarantee I am sure) to use the small plug that came with the Reliance tap pack as used above. In short buy the Reliance product.... (actually this product is made by Reliance... not sure why it is not as good as their own.)

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Why is there a threaded hole in the middle of the lid? what is that for?

    1 Answer
    • A: The container is designed for bulk pour, BUT the 63mm cap does have a ¾” NPT ‘knock out’ which would give the customer the option to use the same Spigot found on the Aqua-Pak once they knock it out (could use a piece of ¾” dowel or pipe and a mallet/hammer). The thing to note though is that once you knock out the ‘knock out’ piece, there is no way to seal the cap unless you have the spigot attached and in the off position. Alternatively you could purchase a ¾” plug which can be found in some stores in the plumbing section.
