I’m using mine outdoors under a fascia board cover so time will tell. It sticks unbelievably well so when it contacts your surface you won’t be able to pull it off. Get it right the first time.

Hard to fit wire

Woorked for what we wanted but was hard to get wire in the chanel and could not get it to snap shut. Painted well and will do the job. Would not put more than one phone cord or lamp cord in it

Q: How does the cord actually go into the tube. If I were to use this with a lamp cord and the plug on the cord is not detachable, then how does the wire actually go into the tube with the plug still attached?

A: Hello, A slit runs down the entire channel length and allows the cover to open enough to slide the cord in. Since the plug end would not fit the channel it'll be located at the end and outside of the channel.

A: Yes, Cordmate products are paintable. We recommend using a latex based paint.

Q: Does the company who makes this cord cover kit also make a switch box to go with it?

A: This is a cord cover and is not rated for running line voltage, therefore no switch kit is available. For a switch kit, you will want to use raceway product

A: This depends on the diameter of the cords. But this kit is primarily for thin gauge wires (i.e. telephone cords/lampshade cords or speaker wire, etc.). At a maximum estimate, 2 -3 cords (depending on what wire they are looking to use)
