Absolute garbage.

Don’t waste your time or money on this unit. I now have three holes in fresh drywall where this once hung. On four separate occasions someone used our doorbell and the simple single couldn’t make it 20 feet to create a chime. On top of that, the chime sounds cheap. Buy a better unit, or go with something hardwired.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Worthless. The wireless is too weak to go through the door, even with the chimes installed right behind it. I can't use it in my house. The outside package claims three chime tunes. The manual claims two tunes. The mechanism to change the tune doesn't work so it really only has one tune. Even at its loudest, the sound is too faint to be heard throughout the house, so even if it worked, it would still be inadequate.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: The description says there are 3 D-sized batteries in the unit I imagine, how about the wireless button (isn't there a battery in that?)

A: The chime requires 3 D cell batteries sold separately. The push button requires one A23 battery which is included in the push button.

Q: Does the button work in -30 C temperatures (North and West wind exposure)?

A: The operating temps for them is 0° - +40°C (+32° - +105°F). It has been explained to me previously that when the temperature is outside of the rated range a product will stop functioning until the temps are back within the range and it should resume functioning. If they need it to work while it is that cold they will need to use a hardwired system.

Q: Can two push buttons play different sounds? Wondering if this chime plays a specific chime based on which button you push or does both push buttons result in the same chime sound.

A: You can have a different sound with different buttons. There is a small change button on the Wireless door bell button to change the tune.

Q: I bought a home with one of these bells installed. It doesn’t work, cannot open the cover of the main box to replace batteries...how does one open? I know about battery in the push button unit. Thank you.
