The REESE Towpower wheel bearing protectors are designed to keep out dirt and water while allowing for easy lubrication for longer bearing life. It fits 1.781 In. hub diameter.

Q: What tools or equipment do i need to fill the "pitstop" bearing protector after installment and which grease do you recommend ??

7 years agoA: Confirmed, the package contains a pair (two units) of bearing protectors, enough to protect two wheels.

10 years agoA: Regrettably, we do not regularly stock 1.88” bearing protectors – this is not a common size. However, we do carry 1.98” wheel bearing protectors, which are a more common size, available as Product #40-8433.

Q: Does this product discharge the old grease when new grease is applied?
10 years agoA: No, this bearing protector is not designed to discharged old grease much like a quick-lube hub. It serves to put pressure on the grease packaging and protect the hub from water and dust.

Q: What size and part number of bearing protector kit fits the 1500 lb axle on 4X6 Stirling trailers sold by Canadian Tire?
10 years agoA: Our 4x6’ Stirling Utility Trailer (Product #040-8092) has a 1.98” hub opening diameter on its 1,500-lb axle. We carry a replacement wheel bearing protector set for 1.98” hub openings, available as Product #40-8433; this replacement part will fit this trailer.

12 years agoA: Yes, these Wheel Bearing Protectors are similar to other bearing protectors available in the market. We currently carry Reese Bearing Protectors in 1.781” or 1.980” hub diameters.
