1.98 inch but too big for 1.98 hubs

I bought this with a new wheel hub at Canadian tire. It would not fit my new or existing hub.

Dont fit my 1.98 axle

Cant explain it. The 1.98" caps dont fit my 1.98 axle. Tri3d zall the tricks but nothing worked. Got 1.98" Princess Auto set and they fit perfectly. Go figure...cant explain it...

Must have item for any trailer on the road.

These are a must have for any type of trailer going down the road. Worry free for each season your trailer heads down the road, by filling up the bearing buddy with grease. Doesnt mean you neglect the bearings fully though. Still nice to take them out and inspect them annually or so.

A: Confirmed, the package contains a pair (two units) of bearing protectors, enough to protect two wheels.

A: Regrettably, we do not regularly stock 1.88” bearing protectors – this is not a common size. However, we do carry 1.98” wheel bearing protectors, which are a more common size, available as Product #40-8433.

A: No, this bearing protector is not designed to discharged old grease much like a quick-lube hub. It serves to put pressure on the grease packaging and protect the hub from water and dust.

A: Our 4x6’ Stirling Utility Trailer (Product #040-8092) has a 1.98” hub opening diameter on its 1,500-lb axle. We carry a replacement wheel bearing protector set for 1.98” hub openings, available as Product #40-8433; this replacement part will fit this trailer.

A: Yes, these Wheel Bearing Protectors are similar to other bearing protectors available in the market. We currently carry Reese Bearing Protectors in 1.781” or 1.980” hub diameters.
