Works as it's supposed to but poor design for cleaning it should have some sort of drip tray in the bottom , or smooth bottom so it's easier to clean.

I had this unit for just over a year. Then after about it’s 10th use total the heating coil stopped working. The company said my only choice is to buy a new one and CT won’t take it back. Seriously disappointed in the whole experience. It did work well when it worked 10 times

Jerky On A Budget With Perks

I wanted to turn my deer into jerky and thought I'd need a smoker. After researching I found that dehydration with the right cure and flavor is just as good or better. I've done a few batches now and I'm quite happy. As a bonus I can also dehydrate my favorite fruits and veggies.

Q: Is this product BPA, Lead, Phthalate, Cadmium free? Many older models of food products contain harmful chemicals that I mentioned but the new industry standard is to be free of the properties mentioned in the question.

A: All trays are BPA free. Furthermore the products are also Lead and cadmium free.
