Easy and convienient

Fair size LED numbers and the no set time features are what caught my eye. Just plug it in and the correct time and date are there. If you live outside the eastern to Pacific time zones, this clock is not for you. The alarm is a bit shrill and I'm a light sleeper, so I taped over all the holes in the body to dampen the sound. Didn't help much LOL! I'm retired, so I won't be using the alarm much. Great for sound sleepers I suspect. Even without a backup battery, when the power returns it resets itself...

Alarm On/Off Button doesn't work

Unlike the other buttons on the clock, the alarm on/off button does not click and seems flimsy. Sure enough, my daughter couldn't turn off the alarm (the snooze button being temporary relief). The only way to finally stop the alarm was to unplug it and take out the battery. Went to exchange it and found all of the other clocks' alarm buttons had the same flimsy feel. I did not want to risk having the same problem with a replacement.

Very Harsh Wakeup Sound

I bought this clock to replace an Electrohome alarm clock that stopped working. Pros: The size of this clock, it's very small. The clock it sets itself (it really works). Pressing the snooze button when the alarm is not on will show when the alarm is set for, very convenient. Cons The Electrohome had a button to turn the alarm off but it would remain set for the following day. This clock requires me to turn the alarm all the way off to shut it off in the morning. I keep forgetting to turn it back on. The shrill, shrieking sound that comes out of this clock when the alarm goes off is heart attack inducing. I sleep with earplugs in and it still startles me awake every morning. My cat hates it too. The Electrohome had an alarm that starts quiet and gets louder. I realize a clock is supposed to wake you up but the wakeup sound on this clock is insultingly harsh. I'm going to buy a soldering iron and repair my old clock. I wish CT still stocked the Electrohome.

W ORST PURCHASE EVER

THIS CLOCK IS OF NO USE TO ANYONE WHO LIVES IN ATLANTIC CANADA AS THERE IS NO SETTING FOR ATLANTIC TIME. IT MEANS ANOTHER TRIP TO THE STORE FOR ME TO RETURN THE CLOCK. YOU DON'T KNOW UNTIL YOU REMOVE IT FROM THE PACKAGING.
