Bought this to stow winter sports gear and just general stuff I didn't want cluttering up the cab. The item comes pretty much as advertised - a simple metal box you clamp down on your truck rails. You can unlock and open from either the left or right side, and the top is easily flipped up with the hydraulic cylinders in even the coldest (i.e. -35 degree) weather. I added some rubber mat on the floor of the box and also cut a couple of pieces to serve as gaskets to cushion the metal on the truck box rails. They really should include something like that along with the product. The locks are adequate, but basic. I would probably install a more sophisticated lock if I stored valuable tools in there, but for my purposes the stock hardware is just fine. I don't expect the brilliant silver finish is going to last as I am already seeing some dullness on the diamond plate. Having said all that, for this price it is pretty hard to beat.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Why is this product not black? It is chrome. On the website and in store the product attached to this product number is not black. The product is in fact chrome.
