    Q: I installed 3 of these lever handles and noticed that all 3 have a gap between the handle and the base, just on one side, so the handle appears to be loose. I couldn't find anything about tightening this in the instructions, does it mean all 3 are defect?

    • A: The set screw that holds the lever on shaft is pre-installed in lever shaft. Once you slide lever on shaft, insert 3/32 allen wrench in hole on side of lever and tighten lever by turning the allen wrench clockwise.

    Q: I have an electronic deadbolt and do not use/require a locking door handle. Can this set be used on an exterior door? Or will the finish deteriorate with exposure to Canadian winter weather?

    • A: Yes, this lever can be installed on an exterior door. All Weiser finishes are tested for durability in all weather conditions, and for product maintenance, we suggest using warm, soapy water to clean it and then towel-dry the hardware. To protect the finish you can polish the knob with carnauba wax. We do not recommend using solvents nor harsh chemicals, which will void the finish warranty.
