Reliable and great convenience.

It enables me to lock and unlock the door with one fingertip, rather than fishing keys out of my pocket. With about 400,000 combinations available, and a noisy alarm (which I haven‘t tried) after 3 wrong guesses, it is secure too. It takes two combinations, so I can set up another one for a temporarily authorized person, then change it afterward. It is easy to install, provided you have either a 54-mm hole for a deadbolt lock already in the door or the equipment to make one. (Smaller holes are also involved.)

We were looking to replace the lock on our front door. All the newer locks were smaller which meant there were two screw holes showing on our front door. So we were looking for the lock as pictured. What we received was the newer stock (with a different name).
No, I do not recommend this product.

I have had this lock for 10 years. 3 kids and myself going in and out constantly. I only replace the batteries about once a year. The 2 buttons that we use to code have warn almost off. Saved many years of teenagers losing keys. I am just thinking about buying this key lock again as it is slowing down a bit and I did change the batteries 2 weeks ago. Winter has started. Just sprayed some WD40 on it. It doesn't owe me a dime. My 86 year old mother has had the same one for years and she loves it to. Great addition to anyones home.M

I have bought one of these for my last three homes and recently for my son's home. Easy to install , works wonderful. It is great for those who have several people who need access to the home with out the worry of loosing keys are have to hide a key. I have never had any problems with this product.

Great lock with Keypad

This lock is the perfect lock to make your life easier. No key required, although they are provided. Easy to use. No looking for keys.... just key in your code and it unlocks. You can put more than 1 code in for use with different people and it can be changed if required. Love it!

A: Yes, the current model "Powerbolt2" lights up. The online photo is the older model. They have the same product number and price.

Q: Is this as secure as key alone? I see that an alarm sounds after incorrect entries but are these locks easy to break into? Is the alarm audible in the house or outside?

A: You can make the code as many as 6 numbers long and change it as often as you wish or need. There is no alarm. It is just some beeps. Each key entry beeps. Anyone in the house within a room or two of the door can hear the beeps and will know if someone is having difficulty with the lock. Very secure.

A: I have had my Weiser lock for about 15 years. I have changed the batteries about 5 times. I use Duracell only in it.

Q: Can it be re-keyed I would like to have the lock re-keyed to my existing Weiser key to match the rest of my home locks, is this possible?

A: Yes, this lock CAN BE RE-KEYED to match the other Weiser locks. The system comes with 2 keys as well as a tool that you insert in a slot beside the key slot on the lock. Follow the instructions that come with the unit to re-key it.

Q: On the front of the lock are two screws, if they are removed will the lock come apart and someone can enter????

A: No you cannot get into the lock this way , the two screws on the inside hold it tight so as not to be able to enter.

A: Exterior: Deadbolt with Keypad 2 ¾” wide x 7” high (top of the keypad measures 5” above the centre of the face bore) Interior coverplate / Thumbturn 3” wide x 10” high (top of the cover measures 8” above the centre of the face bore)
