The negatives outweigh the positives

I would not recommend this product. It has always been hard to start and to keep running. I had to take it to a warranty centre the first year I had it. I'll add the choke switch 'wanders', so you have to keep resetting it. As others have mentioned, the string feeder does not work as intended, I ended up holding the unit upside down, pressing on it with my thumb, and yanking the string out. When it does run properly, it is quite powerful and you can mow down grass pretty quickly.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Can't find replacement parts

This is only my 3rd summer using it. Ran horrible from day 1. Today went to get more line out by tapping on ground, well it broke the shaft that runs down the shaft. Cant get replacement parts. Should have just bought a good 1 to start with

works good if you!

I have the straight shaft weed eater, since I worked with professional equipment, you need to consider greasing the shaft condition and the rotating head. If you don't grease the joints it will shake while in idle. You get what you pay for literally. Mine lasts longer because I grease it and maintain it. Its not designed for industrial use. We use Echo and STHIL. for home and yard work this weed eater is great, but use multi purpose grease and grease it well before starting it. There is no grease nipple, undo the screw and fill it with grease, don't pack it to much or the head will not turn easily. This way you will not force the motor to turn the inner shaft and ball joint if you will.

I have had mine since last 11 years and haven't had any problem just had the starting thread broke on me once I was able to repair it myself. Good and cheap option to go for. I will buy another one of the same kind if still available once this one dies.
