Complicated and not waterproof

Not precisely as easy as it looks, you have to work the sides in order and make sure you don’t open them in random order, the fabric gets all twisted, plus under rain it will drip inside by the seams.. not waterproof at all, if you consider this is an outdoor gazebo that is not a great feature.

This is a nice product. Lightweight and probably best for careful use. Easy to pop up - after the first time :), and really easy to pack away. We will only need a shelter like this very occasionally so our use didn't justify the more expensive options. Pleasantly surprised by how nice it is and spacious inside. We will probably bring along a few better ground spikes snd looking for a way to add a panel or two on the outside as privacy/wind screens.

Q: Does "instant pop up" mean that one person can set it up easily?

  • A: I'm a 5'5'', out of shape woman in her fifties and I HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFULLY PUTTING IT UP and taking it down BY MYSELF for the last 2 years. The only time I had a little trouble was because of high winds. I just peg it down temporarily before pulling out the walls and roof and then I readjust the pegs for optimal placement. It helps to keep your foot on the skirt while pulling the wall. One person can definitely set it up quite easily, just don't try to rush it and be careful when repacking it to avoid twisting. The only low points for me are that there are no privacy panels available and that I had to redo the seams' waterproofing.

Q: Will this fit a provincial park picnic table? If so, is there much space to move around inside once the table is in there? Thanks!

  • A: Yes but no room to walk at one end it just fits in you need to put the end of table at the door to be able to sit on both sides

  • A: I experience a similar problem. As I'm not an engineer, I attribute it to a simple design flaw, which, with patience and extra care whenever you re-open the tent, can be mitigated.
