Use of WD40 Products

I have been using WD40 Products for at least 60 years. Everything from kinds toys to BB Guns , Than Firearms, cars , home and Industry, and Aerospace. Just started using the penatrate, and it has worked well. It is a lighter penatrate than PB blaster, or Howe's penatrate. More like CRC ultra penatrate. I have been using this on a restoration job on a 5 Ton portable crane. Working great on the rusty hinges, and latches. Control cables and switches. Next , I will try it on some of the bolts that are bigger than 3/8". I have been testing WD-40 And these other penetrates on this job, seeing which one works the best , for each lube problem. I am placing manufacturers Product decals on the 5 Ton Crane, showing which products are being used in the restoration. I am also , videoing this project for my YouTube channel. Matthew Spence @ MuseumMatt. I need some WD-40 Decals

I used this product to clean my oak table top after stripping off the varnish with an environmentally friendly stripper. Very happy with the results.

Using WD-40 as a penetrate to remove rusty bolts.

I’ve been using WD-40 for years but I just had to relate my last experience in using your product. I was changing an alternator in my car and a bracket I needed to remove had three 10 mm rusty bolts. I couldn’t budge any of them without fear of snapping one or more of them. Then I would have been in big trouble, so I sprayed all of them with WD-40 and let them sit for 15 minutes. Next, with a socket I was able to turn off all three very slowly but without breaking any of them. Good job WD-40.

Q: Can I use this preoduct to clean baked on food and grease on the cast iron grill grates?

  • A: Yes, the WD-40 Specialist® Cleaner & Degreaser can be used for this application. Simply remove the rack, spray any grime with WD-40® Specialist® Cleaner & Degreaser. Then wait a few minutes and take a wire brush and scrub clean. Rinse thoroughly with clean water afterwards.
