Catastrophe Averted

We had a pipe break in our laundry room. It broke right at the junction to a half inch tee. After shutting off the water, I dashed out to Canadian Tire, and bought this push and connect tee. After cutting out the old tee, it was a simple job to push the pipes into this tee, turn the water back on, and we were back in business in an hour. Cleaning up the laundry room took the rest of the afternoon, but that's a different story.

Tried installing in a very restricted area after main line broke. Could not get the 3rd connection to work. I had to abandon my outside line for garden hose and install straight connect for now so I could have water to the house. Very frustrating. I obviously bought a defective Tee but I have to add, this was the first time I've ever had trouble installing Push N' Connect fittings.
