The specially designed blade results in straight and even plastic tube cuts, ensuring proper fitting of pex, polybutylene, PVC and polyethylene piping. For PEX ( plastic ), makes square cuts, better than a utility knife. I also bought one to cut small hose , garden hose, oil cooler hose etc. very smooth and effortless.
