This Waterline PEX Clamp Cinch Tool helps make quick work of securing PEX pipes. The cinch tool clamps PEX pipes firmly into fittings, ensuring a tight seal that will stand up to the demands of your plumbing system. Simply place the pipe into the fitting, slide the clamp over top and crank the tool's wheel to draw the clamp tight for lasting, leak-free performance. This PEX clamp tool has a ratcheting mechanism that releases the jaws when the connection is complete.

Q: Size of Pex this works with? One of the answers said it works with 1/2 and 3/4 but they called it a Surlok tool instead of the Waterline in the description. Does the Waterline tool do 1/2" and 3/4" PEX?

A: Yes product code 63-1408 works for both ½” and ¾”. The type of clamps that the tool is used on are generally known as “pinch clamps” or “cinch clamps”. The Waterline clamps of this type are sold under the trademark “Surlok”. We like to use the proprietary term “Surlok” when we refer to our clamps instead of the generic terms “pinch” or “cinch” because our clamps have some unique features that others don’t have. Dependable is a sub-brand of Waterline tools - As noted above, “Surlok” is our branding of the clamps.

Q: "For use with ALL pex pipes", so this will work with 2" pex pipe then?

A: The Surlok pinch clamp tool is design for all ½” and ¾” manufactures of certified Pex Pipe for crimp insert fittings connections. The Surlok-style pinch clamps are not made in any size above 1" - So there is no way to use a pinch clamp on 2” PEX Pipe. Although 2" pex pipe exists, it is almost never used in any plumbing application and is used for large volume high rise or commercial applications and requires specialized fittings.

Q: Where can I buy/order rings? I was at the Saskatoon Canadian Tire store and saw the crimping tool for the rings but none of the sales people knew what it was for and had never seen the ring I took in as an example. It was for 3/4" Pex pipe.

A: Rings are available in-store - 3/4" (63-1406) & 1/2" (63-1403) - both are 10 per bag
