Convenient and efficient

I purchased this SMART Flow roller when we added an addition to our home. I needed a good roller for areas that I couldn't comfortably use my Wagner paint sprayer. I reviewed this roller prior to purchasing and loved the thought of being able to cover more square footage faster with a roller that held paint. I admit this roller took a while for me to get use too and I felt that it was expelling more than I needed, but after a bit of use I did get the hang of it. I feel like this did speed up my time painting rooms and I would recommend it to others that are looking for a roller that saves time.

Makes painting easy but has issues

It took me the longest time to figure out that it will only suck paint from the can if the fill tube is pushed all the way into the fill port (aka fill valve). This means you have to push the fill tube all the way up into and through the hole into the included paint container lid. If it isn't all the way through the lid - and its hard to push in far enough because its tight - paint will not be sucked into the main tube of the roller.
Once you overcome that hurdle it works really well. Having said that, the plunger rod is somewhat flimsy when extended and if you use it hold the device (which is very tempting to do when painting the upper part of walls) my concern is that it could easily break.
So with those issues in mind, I would conditionally recommend the device. I got it cheap on clearance so the flimsiness is acceptable but wouldn't be happy if I had paid full price.

It's important that the fill tube be aligned so that no air is drawn up into the paint tube. Possibly the check valve is not opening properly....remove it and lubricate it with petroleum jelly, squeeze it in your fingers to make sure it open easily. Call for more help at 1-800-328-8251.

I've had the smart mini roller for just over a year and used it to paint my washroom ( small room). A year later I use it again to paint a small bedroom, it works just as well as it did when it was new. I'm now looking to buy the regular sized one to paint a larger room and possibly the edging one as well. It is well worth the money and it cuts the painting time. I love this product.

How I spent 40 years painting without this product is beyond me. I LOATHE painting and, when we bought our new house, I was in total dread of having to paint these 15 x 15 rooms with 9 foot ceilings. A friend of mine from work was talking about how she used one of these and would never paint without one again. I looked your product up on YouTube and then promptly bought one. Let me say, if I had to buy one of these for every room in a house I would do so and consider it money well spent! I'll never paint without one again.
