    Good for HVLP

Made it possible to use latex furniture paint in a cheap HVLP sprayer. Paint seems to cure a bit softer than undiluted.

    Makes painting easy

Prolonged drying time really helps to get a good finish. Brush marks are a thing of the past with a couple of cap full of this mixed in.

Worked great to minimize brush marks

Couldn’t find the other major brand but this worked well to thin my exterior trim paint so that I could still paint on warm day without paint drying too fast.

    Paint Easy worked for me

Easy to mix and did seem to lessen the brush/roller marks on my fireplace molding. The bottle wants to drip down itself when pouring though. Good value because you don't use a lot at a time.

    Questions

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: How much can I expect to add to a gallon of ceiling paint? Thanks

    • A: It completely depends on the paint, and how you are going to apply the paint. Here is my experience with the EasyFlow paint (great paint BTW). If you are going to use rollers and brushes, I wouldn't thin the the paint at all. But use good quality brushes and rollers (10mm roller and above works well). If you are going to use an HVLP sprayer, I'd add about a quarter of this bottle to a gallon. You need fairly runny paint for HVLP. If you are using an HEA sprayer, again I wouldn't thin the paint. HEA sprayers can handle thicker paint, and honestly I find it goes on better. As I said before though, take this for what it's worth. Depends on how thick the paint is when it is opened, and how it's being applied.
