20lb set (not 40)

Misleading. Not a set of 40lb dumbbells, but 40lbs total plus two bars. Can’t even have a single 40lb, since the weights won’t all fit onto one bar. Personally miss neoprene and really don’t enjoy the steel bar, but that’s personal preference.

Q: How can 4 x 5lbs 4 x 2.5 lbs 2 x 3 lbs bars and nuts = 40 lbs? I have the set that was sold for 30 lbs and I ended up weighing it. I found it was only 20 lbs!

A: Wondering the same when I purchased this set, but, the bars actually weigh 4 lbs each and the set has 4x3lb plates not, 2.5lb plates, so, 4x5lb (20) + 4x3lb (12) + 2x4lb (8) does indeed add up to 40lb for the set.
