Unless you have an outlet on the wall to power the display, I would not recommend this phone. Package and website description should mention that you require a power source for the display.

A: Yes the phonecan be used in a power outage to make/recieve calls but the display will not work as that is powered by the adaptor.

A: Yes, any number stored in the 65 Name/Number caller ID memory can be dialed with the press of a button. You can also choose to store a Caller ID record permanently in your 25 Name/Number phonebook, so the number is never over written.

A: The CD1281 is not an expandable telephone system. Do you have the CS6649-3 or CS6949-3.
