I bought this set because it the same as my old phone and I did not have to relearn. I left a handset out in the rain so I was down to two. So glad I could get one with 4. Now I don’t have to run all over the house to answer the phone - just go from one room to another ! Yay!

I bought this 2 weeks ago and am completely dissatisfied, I'll never purchase another VTech product. The first one I bought was missing a power cord, I returned it and the 2nd one I bought tested to make sure I had a dial tone and ring but didn't make a call on it. After 3 failed calls I've determined while I could hear the caller they could not hear me and it was the fault of the phones as I was able to complete my call to them on an old direct connect phone. Now I'm out the cost of this product and can't return it as I did not keep the box. Very unhappy customer.

- A: No this is an Analog phone. While it can use Internet home wires to connect, it does so with the help of an Analog Terminal Adapter (ATA). The ATA is either built into your Modem (and hence you pay your Internet Provider, like Bell, Rogers, Telus, etc, a monthly fee to activate the port for Landline Phone). Another way would be to pay a 3rd party landline provider, like OOMA, to supply you with their hardware, which usually takes the form of an Answering Machine, but there is a built in ATA inside that allows you to connect to your home WiFi router. But our phones are not Digital SIP (aka VoIP), they are Analog devices, that need an regular home phone Analog line to connect to.10 months agoHelpful?
