This is my second purchase of this mop. I've had my first one for years, but I cracked the plastic that covers the mop head. No fault of the mop. Was scraping candy off the floor and between the force used to unstick it is when the crack occurred. Like that I can also get refill heads for this mop.

Q: Does this mop need the bucket to wring or can it be wrung manually?

A: Yes, there is a special contraption to put the mop in to wring it out. I suppose it can be done without it by doing it by hand but it will lose its convenience.

Q: How do you remove the mop head? I wish Vileda would include directions on the package.

A: Hi Kathryn, Directions are included on the packaging of the mop or refill itself. To remove the refill for the Super Mop, simply hold the red connector that is attached to the mop strands on the end of the handle and twist. The refill will unscrew from the handle and will allow for the replacement to screw back onto the handle threading. We hope this helps.
