Good weight distribution

Yes, I wish meat tenderizers had more heft (weight) to them today. My mom's was like a mallet and took very little effort to beat a lab of meat to a pulp or supper thin. BUT she also complained about how her hand and wrist hurt just 5 minutes in. Enter the modern-era meat-beaters, lighter weight and less toxic materials being used. This Vida by Paderno has been the only one I've tried by just swinging it up and down that proved to have an excellent swing weight ratio with minimal impact on my already weak wrists. Like a great hammer, the swing is just as important as the impact tips. I'm very happy with my purchase, and so glad I can finally put my many weeks of research into materials, toxicity an quality behind me LOL! TIP: even if you come across as this being dishwasher safe, it is coated so dishwasher chemicals and high eat will eventually wear out the finish. Best to wash by hand and use a nail or vegetable brush to clean the jagged end.
