    After buying two, they worked until mid 2025 after software update and stopped connecting to home WiFi and when trying to reconnect with the app they don’t, so no WiFi alerts and no traps recognizing. No trap status. It updated by themselves, I had nothing to do with it. If you want to buy it for the simplicity of having alerts when rodents are caught, think again.

While the trap still operates without connectivity, the alerts are a key feature. Please confirm the trap is connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi band (not 5 GHz) and uses fresh batteries, as recommended in the manual.     It would never connect to the wifi so I returned it. I just got an email saying they are no longer supporting the app. Good to know that the whole selling point is moot.

    Trap will either not connect or will disconnect from wifi alll the time even when it’s 9 feet from wifi router. Don’t waste your money, just get normal traps

    Not only does wifi disconnect the day after you set it up, with my router 10ft away, but the mice happily eat the bait until factory clean... It is a feeding station, not a trap. Sure wish I could return this wasted investment.

    Q: Does it have batteries or is connected to 110 V outlet? It would be nice to mention this. Just in case it requires batteries, it may save a trip to the store.

    A: It requires board AA batteries but they were provided with the purchase. Then you would only have to buy more if they run out.

    A: To enter the Victor® Electronic Mouse Trap, mice pass through a uniquely designed tunnel with beveled columns. These columns direct the mouse further into the tunnel and make it difficult to back out. It would be difficult for a cat to get their paw fully into the trap where the metal plates are located. Despite this, we recommend setting the traps out of reach of children or pets.
