This trap is designed for rats, and using it on smaller mice can affect performance. For best results, make sure the trap is placed along walls where rodents travel and that the bait is secured in the bait cup to encourage proper activation.

Q: Can a mouse trigger the rat trap or is it too light? Twice the bait (cheese) was eaten but the trap did not trigger. Can you explain this?

A: Check online. You tube videos. Apparently you can fine tune the trigger to make it more sensitive. And tie the trap down. Big rats can drag the trap away.
