Disappointed

Doesn't heat up properly, even after 30 minutes. Read the reviews- all the good ones come first, then all the ones that have the same problem. Never cooked anything on it, just ran a test heat up.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We're sorry to hear about your heating issue. The cause and solution for heating issues will be different depending whether or not you have converted your grill to Natural Gas.

Propane:
If you are experiencing heating issues, you may have activated the flow limiting feature in your regulator:

To Correct:
1. With all control knobs in the CLOSED position, and the cylinder shut-off valve in the CLOSED position, open the grill lid.
2. Disconnect the regulator from the LP cylinder.
3. Turn all control knobs to the HIGH position, and let stand for 1-3 minutes, allowing all excess gas in the gas manifold to dissipate.
4. Turn all control knobs back to the OFF position.
5. Reconnect the regulator to the LP cylinder. Do not cross thread the connection. Hand-tighten only.
6. Check all connections to ensure that a positive seal has been made.
7. Slowly open the LP cylinder shut-off valve.
8. Wait approximately 30 seconds for the regulator pressure to stabilize.
9. Turn the first control knob to the HIGH position.
10. Push in and turn the TempASSURED control knob with SURE-Spark™ ignition counter-clockwise, or use the match and match holder, or a barbecue lighter to ignite the burner.

To avoid tripping this safety feature going forward, always follow the correct lighting and shut down procedures. Most importantly, open your LP cylinder shut off valve SLOWLY before starting your BBQ. If you turn the LP cylinder valve too quickly, the flow limiting feature in the regulator can sometimes think there is a leak in the fuel line and restrict the amount of fuel to the burner as a safety precaution.

Natural Gas:
Common causes of Low Heat Issues after Performing Conversion:
1. Not purchasing the Correct conversion kit for their grill.
2. Not removing the propane orifices or missing 1 or more. (Especially side burner!)
3. Not securing the natural gas hose correctly. Disconnect and reconnect from both sides.
4. Damaged hose or hose connections. - Perform a Leak Test

To test the ignition, push in and turn the TempASSURED control knob COUNTER-CLOCKWISE to BBQ mode. You should hear a continuous "clicking" sound when the ignitor is engaged. If you hear no sound, replace the battery or ensure the battery is facing the correct direction. (negative side out). Check that all ignition wires are firmly connected to the electronic ignition module.

We have enjoyed our Vermont Castings Vanguard BBQ over the years. I emailed them to find out how to obtain a new igniter. They emailed back saying-You have reached Vermont Castings VANGUARDtm Barbecue customer support. Based on the Serial Number provided that unit looks like it is not supported by our department. I hope they see this review, very frustrating.

Q: Just set this up. When I light it, the igniter switch clicks constantly. Called VC. Was told that's normal. It's part of the TempAssured knob. It's very annoying listening to the continuous clicking while cooking. Does not seem normal to me. Is it normal?

A: I have the same barbecue and it only clicks while it lights. Once it is set to a temperature it shouldn't do this from my experience. To stop it, once it is lit, I rotate the knob to the appropriate cook setting/temperature.

TRIANGLE REWARDS® and TIMS® REWARDS LINKED LOYALTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

To understand how Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited^† (“CTC”) and The TDL Group Corp.^‡ (“Tim Hortons”) collect, use and share your personal information when you link your Triangle Rewards®^† and Tims Rewards™ accounts, see the Collection and Use of Personal Information section.

ACCEPTANCE OF LINKING TERMS

1. Acknowledgement and Acceptance: These Linked Loyalty Terms and Conditions (referred to hereafter as the “Terms”) set out the terms and conditions that apply when you link a Triangle Rewards Account and Tims Rewards Account to earn CT Money® (the “Linked Loyalty Benefit”). Capitalized terms have the meanings set out at the end of this document. By linking your Triangle Rewards Account and Tims Rewards Account, you acknowledge that you have received, read, understood and agreed to all the Terms, including as outlined in Section 3. The Terms take effect at the time you click the “Link Accounts” button for your Triangle Rewards Account in the province or territory in which you live.

2. Most current terms: Notwithstanding any other section of the Terms, the Terms posted at https://triangle.canadiantire.ca/en/partners/tim-hortons-partner.html and Tims.com/triangle are the most current version of the Terms. Any amendments to the Terms will be posted to the websites set out above and, once such amended Terms are posted, you will be deemed to have been given notice of the current version of the Terms, where required or permitted to be given hereunder. The current version of the Terms replace all prior terms and conditions with respect to the Linked Loyalty Benefit. We reserve the right to change the Terms, and we will notify you as required by the law of your Province or Territory. See Section 14 for further information on changes.

3. Terms in Relation to Existing Conditions: The Terms apply solely to the Linked Loyalty Benefit and are in addition to the terms and conditions of the Triangle Rewards Program Terms and Conditions. If there is a conflict between (i) the Terms; and (ii) the Triangle Rewards Program Terms and Conditions, the Terms will prevail to the extent necessary to resolve the conflict in relation to the Linked Loyalty Benefit.

Notwithstanding any other provision of the Terms: (i) these Terms do not modify, amend, or form part of the Tims Rewards Program (and for clarity, these Terms are not “Additional Terms” as defined in the Tims Rewards Program Terms and Conditions), nor do they increase the value or benefits available under the Tims Rewards Program; (ii) the earning and redemption of Tims Rewards Points are solely and exclusively governed by the Tims Rewards Program Terms and Conditions; (iii) the Tims Rewards Program and Triangle Rewards Program are respectively separate and distinct consumer agreements under consumer protection legislation of any province or territory that regulates consumer loyalty programs; and (iv) rewards earned under the Tims Rewards Program and rewards earned under the Triangle Rewards Program are not combined, cumulative, or aggregated for any purpose, including for the determination of reward value, expiration, or compliance with applicable laws. Rewards earned under the Tims Rewards Program cannot be converted into CT Money under the Triangle Rewards Program, and CT Money earned under the Triangle Rewards Program cannot be converted into rewards under the Tims Rewards Program.

For greater certainty and notwithstanding any other provision of the Terms, in no event will rewards under the Tims Rewards Program have a value (including a retail value) of more than fifty dollars ($50) CAD (without limiting the generality of the foregoing and for greater certainty, in no event will: (i) one good, one service or single set of goods or services that a Tims Rewards Program member may receive in exchange for redeeming Tims Rewards Points have a value of more than fifty dollars ($50) CAD; and (ii) the retail value of each good or service that a Tims Rewards Program member may receive in exchange for redeeming Tims Rewards Points exceed fifty dollars ($50) CAD).

4. Linked Loyalty Benefit Eligibility Requirements: The Linked Loyalty Benefit is only open to you if you: (a) are an individual that resides and makes a purchase in Canada; (ii) have reached the age of majority in the province/territory in which you reside; (iii) have registered for both a Triangle Rewards Account and Tims Rewards Account; (iv) are a member in good standing of each of the Triangle Rewards Program and the Tims Rewards Program; and (v) link your Triangle Rewards Account and Tims Rewards Account. Each Triangle Rewards Account may only be linked to one Tims Rewards Account, and each Tims Rewards Account may only be linked to one Triangle Rewards Account. Please note that after you click the “Link Accounts” button, the Triangle Rewards session may remain active in the background, and the member may continue to be logged into their Triangle Rewards Account for a limited period of time.

5. Liability for Linking Correct Account Details: You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have completed the membership enrollment and registration process for your Triangle Rewards Account and your Tims Rewards Account. When linking your Triangle Rewards Account and your Tims Rewards Account online at

https://triangle.canadiantire.ca/en/partners/tim-hortons-partner/linking-confirmation.html, you are solely responsible for entering the following information:

- Triangle Rewards Account: email address or digital username, and password.

- Tims Rewards Account: first name, last name, and email address.

Neither CTC, nor Tim Hortons, will be responsible for any linking error made on your part. You may not link a Triangle Rewards Account and a Tims Rewards Account owned by another person. You must provide complete, and accurate information when registering, linking and at all other times when participating in the Linked Loyalty Benefit. Users are able to unlink their Triangle Rewards Account and their Tims Rewards Account at any time through their Triangle Rewards Account or app or Tims Rewards app.

6. No Additional Cost: There is no cost for linking your Triangle Rewards Account and your Tims Rewards Account.

LINKED LOYALTY BENEFIT

7. Subject to compliance with these Terms, Linked Members are eligible to earn CT Money at participating Tim Hortons locations in accordance with the earn rates outlined in Section 10.

8. In order to earn CT Money, your Tims Rewards Account (Physical or Digital Card) must be linked with your Triangle Rewards Account prior to your purchase and must remain linked until any CT Money is credited to your Triangle Rewards Account.

9. Tim Hortons Eligible Purchase Transactions, Excluded Items and Locations: A Tim Hortons Eligible Purchase Transaction and Excluded Items are as defined in the Tims Rewards Terms and Conditions and subject to all restrictions, limitations and other terms and conditions as stated therein.

Not all Tim Hortons locations participate in the Linked Loyalty Benefit (i.e. select restaurant locations at hospitals, airport and universities). To determine if a Tim Hortons location is a participating location, please ask the Tim Hortons location or visit Tims Guest Care

14. Changes to Linked Loyalty Benefit: Subject to applicable laws and regulations, the Linked Loyalty Benefit may be changed, cancelled or withdrawn, including but not limited to, changes to (i) the eligibility criteria to participate in the Linked Loyalty Benefit; (ii) the benefits associated with linking, including the rate at which CT Money is earned; (iii) the types of cards/accounts eligible for the Linked Loyalty Benefit; (iv) rules relating to the operation of the Linked Loyalty Benefit; (v) rules relating to the suspension or termination of your participation in the Linked Loyalty Benefit; (vi) rules relating to errors in the allocation of CT Money and the handling of complaints; and vii) the provisions related to the modification of all or any of these Terms. You may refuse these modifications and terminate your participation in the Linked Loyalty Benefit without cost, penalty or cancellation indemnity at any time.

In the event of a material error, omission, technical problem, computer virus or bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond our reasonable control that interferes with the proper conduct of any aspect of the Linked Loyalty Benefit as set out in these Terms, CTC and Tim Hortons reserve the right to withdraw or temporarily change or suspend all or part of the Linked Loyalty Benefit as they may determine in their sole discretion.

Notwithstanding the above, you acknowledge and agree that, subject to applicable laws, we may not notify you: (i) every time we expand the Linked Loyalty Benefit to add new or modify Linked Loyalty Benefit features and offers; (ii) every time we expand our Linked Loyalty Benefit to add new cards/accounts; (iii) of changes to the Linked Loyalty Benefit and/or the Terms such as those that are purely cosmetic or organizational (such as changes to punctuation, vocabulary, paragraph order, etc.), procedural, or for any other non-substantive changes; provided these changes do not negatively impact your rights, benefits or obligations under the Linked Loyalty Benefit and/or these Terms.

Notification required pursuant to these Terms, including when changes made to the Linked Loyalty Benefit will be provided to you in accordance with the applicable law of your Province or Territory.

For Quebec residents, we will send you a written notice, drafted clearly and legibly, setting out exclusively the new or amended clause, the clause as it read formerly, the effective date of the change, and your rights to refuse the change and cancel the contract without cost, penalty or cancellation indemnity. This written notice will be sent to you between ninety (90) days and sixty (60) days prior to a change of an essential element of the Linked Loyalty Benefit or thirty (30) days prior to a change of a non-essential element of the Linked Loyalty Benefit. The notice may be sent to you by electronic transmission, when applicable. CTC may make changes to the Triangle Rewards Program in accordance with the Triangle Rewards Program Terms and Conditions and Tim Hortons may make changes to the Tims Rewards Program in accordance with the Tims Rewards Program Terms & Conditions - Tim Hortons.

15. Cancellation: Subject to applicable laws and notice requirements, either CTC or Tim Hortons may unlink any Triangle Rewards Account and Tims Rewards Account, including if you are or become ineligible for the Linked Loyalty Benefit, when either CTC or Tim Hortons suspect fraudulent activity, misuse of the Triangle Rewards Program, non-compliance with these Terms or for any other reason specified in the Triangle Rewards Terms and Conditions or for any other reasonable reason.

16. System errors: CTC reserves the right to make any adjustments and correct any errors pertaining to your CT Money, in accordance with the Triangle Rewards Program Terms and Conditions. You may contact CTC for any questions related to CT Money issuance. See Section 24.

17. Immediate/Real-Time Linking of Rewards Accounts: Once you click the “Link Accounts” button, your Triangle Rewards Account and Tims Rewards Account will be linked after receiving confirmation that linking is complete.

18. Unlinking: You can unlink your Triangle Rewards Account and Tims Rewards Account at any time; however, prior to unlinking, Linked Members must ensure any CT Money earned has been processed and credited to their Triangle Rewards Account. Unlinking your Triangle Rewards Account and Tims Rewards Accounts will not end your separate enrollment in the Triangle Rewards Program or the Tims Rewards Program. Upon unlinking, you will no longer be able to participate in the Linked Loyalty Benefit.

GENERAL

19. Enrollment in Triangle Rewards: In order to participate in the Linked Loyalty Benefit, you must be a registered member in the Triangle Rewards Program. Your Triangle Rewards Account must be registered before attempting to link it to your Tims Rewards Account, otherwise you will be asked to do so before completion of linking can occur.

20. Enrollment in Tims Rewards Program: In order to participate in the Linked Loyalty Benefit, you must be a registered member in the Tims Rewards Program. Your Tims Rewards Account must be registered before attempting to link it to your Triangle Rewards Account, otherwise you will be asked to do so before completion of linking can occur.

21. Triangle Rewards and Tims Rewards are Independent: CTC and Tim Hortons will continue to independently operate the Triangle Rewards Program and Tims Rewards Program, respectively.

22. CTC is not an Agent of Tim Hortons: CTC does not act on behalf of Tim Hortons. CTC is solely and exclusively responsible for (i) the services and benefits offered through the Triangle Rewards Program; (ii) the administration of such program, including how you can earn and redeem CT Money; and (iii) the Triangle Rewards Program Terms and Conditions. Tim Hortons does not act on behalf of CTC.

23. Tim Hortons is not an Agent of CTC: Tim Hortons does not act on behalf of CTC. Tim Hortons is solely and exclusively responsible for (i) the services and benefits offered through the Tims Rewards Program; (ii) the administration of such program, including how you can earn and redeem Tims Rewards Points; and (iii) the Tims Rewards Program Terms and Conditions. CTC does not act on behalf of Tim Hortons.

24. Contacting CTC: If you have any questions related to the Triangle Rewards Program, including about your CT Money balance or account you may contact Triangle Rewards customer service by calling 1-800-226-8743 or by mail at PO Box 2000 Station Main, Welland, Ontario L3B 5S3.

25. Contacting Tim Hortons: If you have any questions related to the Tims Rewards Program, including earning or redeeming Tims Rewards Points, you must complete the following form at https://help.timhortons.ca/hc/en-ca. [LB1]

26. Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the law of the Province or Territory in which you reside at the time you link your Triangle Rewards Account and Tims Rewards Account, and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

27. Account Status Changes: If you do not receive confirmation that linking is complete after twenty-four (24) hours, you should notify CTC at the contact details listed above. Purchases made while requests are being processed do not qualify under the Linked Loyalty Benefit. Neither CTC nor Tim Hortons will be liable for any offers, benefits or CT Money for which a person may have been eligible prior to successful completion of linking, including where linking is delayed or not completed due to a technical or system issue.

PRIVACY AND HANDLING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

28. Collection and Privacy: CTC and Tim Hortons each collect, use, share and otherwise handle (“Handle”) your personal information in accordance with their respective privacy policies, as may be amended from time to time. While some information about the Handling of your personal information is included here, these policies provide more information about how and why your personal information is Handled, and your privacy rights and choices. 29. Use and Sharing of Personal Information for Linked Loyalty Benefit: When you link your Triangle Rewards Account and your Tims Rewards Account, CTC and Tim Hortons, and their respective employees, agents and service providers, may Handle and share limited personal information about you. This information includes, account and linkage identifiers, account and linking status, eligible transaction and reward earning information, timestamps, and related account administration information. CTC and Tim Hortons will only share this information with each other as reasonably necessary to link and administer your accounts, confirm eligibility, provide benefits, services and rewards you earn through the Linked Loyalty Benefit, provide customer support, detect or prevent fraud or misuse, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, and enforce these Terms. Additionally, both CTC and Tim Hortons may use analytics to understand how you interact with the Linked Loyalty Benefit in order to improve their services. Each party Handles personal information in accordance with its own privacy policy.

30. Marketing: CTC and Tim Hortons may communicate with you about your use of, or to promote and provide information about the benefits, services, and rewards of the Linked Loyalty Benefit, Triangle Rewards, or Tims Rewards Program in accordance with their respective consent records and applicable anti-spam legislation. Each of CTC and Tim Hortons is solely responsible for its own marketing communications. Linking your Triangle Rewards Account and Tims Rewards Account does not, by itself, create new consent to receive marketing communications from either CTC or Tim Hortons.

To opt out, contact CTC or Tim Hortons (the organization whose activities you want to opt out from) using the information under “Your privacy rights and choices” below.

31. Cross-border transfers: Your personal information may be stored, accessed, processed or otherwise Handled outside your province or territory of residence, including in Canada, the United States or other jurisdictions where CTC, Tim Hortons or their service providers operate. In those cases, your personal information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. CTC and Tim Hortons will protect personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and each of their respective privacy policies.

32. Your privacy rights and choices: You may obtain access to the information CTC or Tim Hortons holds about you at any time and review its content and accuracy, and request corrections as appropriate; however, access may be restricted as permitted or required by law.

To request access to such information, to ask questions about our privacy policies or to request that the information not be used for any purpose, including opt-out, you may do so now or at any time in the future by contacting CTC at 1-866-846-5841 or Tim Hortons at1-888-601-1616, or using the information provided in the CTC Privacy Charter or Tim Hortons Privacy Policy.

DEFINITIONS

33. “CTC” means Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited.

34. “Canadian Tire Money” or “CT Money” means the electronic rewards currency issued pursuant to the Triangle Rewards Program.

35. “Digital Card” has the meaning as defined in Tims Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.

36. “Excluded Items” has the meaning as defined in Tims Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.

37. “Linked Loyalty Benefit” as defined in Section 1.

38. “Linked Loyalty Benefit Earn Rate” as defined in Section 10.

39. “Linked Member” means a member of each of the Triangle Rewards Program and the Tims Rewards Program who has linked (and not subsequently unlinked) their Triangle Rewards Account and Tims Rewards Account.

40. “Physical Card” has the meaning as defined in Tims Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.

41. “Scan & Pay Bonus” as defined in Section 10.

42. “Terms” means the Linked Loyalty Benefit Terms and Conditions.

43. “Tim Hortons” means The TDL Group Corp.

44. “Tim Hortons Eligible Purchase Transaction” has the meaning ascribed to the term “Eligible Purchase Transaction” in the Tims Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.

45. “Triangle Credit Card Earn Rate” as defined in Section 10.

46. “Triangle Rewards Account” means an account offered and maintained by CTC as part of the Triangle Rewards Program for the purposes of awarding and/or redeeming CT Money.

47. “Triangle Rewards Program” means the Triangle Rewards loyalty program owned and operated by Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited.

48. “Triangle Rewards Terms and Conditions” means the terms and conditions of the Triangle Rewards Program, as amended by CTC from time to time and available at Triangle Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.

49. “Tims Rewards Account” means an account offered and maintained by Tim Hortons as part of the Tims Rewards Program for the purpose of awarding and/or redeeming Tims Rewards Points.

50. “Tims Rewards Program” means the Tim Hortons loyalty program owned and operated by The TDL Group Corp.

51. “Tims Rewards Points” means the loyalty points issued pursuant to the Tims Rewards Program.

52. “Tims Rewards Program Terms and Conditions” means the terms and conditions of the Tims Rewards Program, as amended by Tim Hortons from time to time and available at https://www.timhortons.ca/terms-conditions-rewards.

53. “We” or “us” means CTC and/or Tim Hortons.

54. “You” or “your” means a Triangle Rewards Member and Tims Rewards Program Member who link their Triangle Rewards Account and their Tims Rewards Account.
