Purchased 4,all 4 were not functional after 1.5 years of service.Disposable cameras is what it should say on the box,total waste of my money.Do not buy!!

Got a second one because of performance!

Best trail camera I have ever come across. I have had a number of them, some are still deployed but the real reason why I like this one is the battery life and overall performance when it comes to detection range and capturing clear images. This camera is truly stealth. You cannot see the LED's glow dull red when the night vision IR is active. There is no IR filter click either. Very quiet and easy to hide with the great camo pattern. Unlike some cameras, this one does not capture images of "nothing". Every image on the memory card has been a capture of something that has triggered the motion detection and it is a very quick trigger. Minimal motion blur. As for the battery life, this was a concern at first. One would think that AA batteries do not have the capacity to maintain a camera for several months but this is not the case. The standby current draw is minimal and I have had this unit deployed for 4 months now with no signs of the batteries being anywhere near depleted. As the days are getting cooler I suspect the performance might be slightly impacted but so far so good. A great camera all around.

Q: What is the "1 year standby current" and what is the benefit of having this?

  • A: This means that the camera is capable of running on a new set of good batteries for up to 1 year without having to change them. However, this varies, depending on usage, which is why they say "up to a year". If your camera takes many picture per day or you use the IR flash a lot, the batteries will not last as long.

Q: What is "duty time"? doing some research on trail cameras

  • A: Duty time refers to a programmable setting which allows you to tell the camera when to operate and when not to. For example, you can have the camera only operate between 6pm and 6am. Outside of this, the camera will remain off.
