A: The 3 larger holes found on the outer casing of the DSP-CA (Chimney Adapter) are clearance holes for the head of the securing screws to clear, without deforming the outer casing. The screws are used to secure the inner liner of the Chimney Adapter to the JM-ASE (Stove Pipe Adapter). The screws are not supplied and they should be stainless steel #6 x 1”. Pre-drilling 3 holes with a 3/32 metal drill bit would be recommended, unless self-drilling screws are used.
