Uniden GMRS, 26-km, 3-pk

Under the features is shows that it includes 3 handsets in bundle, this is not true...at least with my package. The batteries did come fully charged which is great and had the 2 sets of USB chargers but we bought these with the information that the headsets would be included...

Bought this set today and noticed that it was on sale. For 3 units, the price was ok, not the best, but better than the regular price. We are going on a Cruise and then to Disney World so it will come in handy because we have 2 kids. I charged all 3 units with the supplied USB wires for about 2 hours and the units were fully charged. Quite quick for an entry level walkie talkie. The rechargeable batteries that came with the unit are rated at 300 mah each, where each unit requires 3 batteries, giving it a total of 900 mah per unit. The package did not come with the actual USB charger so you'll have to use one from your phone charger or a USB outlet. Tested all 3 units at home and they worked fine. The reception was good even at two ends of the house, one in the cold room and the other in the master bedroom. House is about 4000 sf and the clarity was good and crisp with minimal static distortion. After reading literally hundreds of reviews for different types of 2 way radios, I only bought this because there were 3 units instead of 2 and I was rushed to make the purchase since I was unable to order anything else. Based on my previous experience with 2 way radios, Cobra and Motorola, these are definitely entry level walkies so don't expect super long range, but the size is definitely good for children because they're pretty small and compact. The clip on the back of the unit does not spring in or out so if you press too hard, it might snap. But it does have a hoop on the clip that allows you to hang a lanyard over your neck if needed. I'll update again after going on this trip.
