Great camera for the price

Very good HD video - can read license plate with no problem. Very good night vision. Easy set up. All cords fits and doesn't lose connection as some review said. Was on 50% off sale!

great little dash cam

I've been using this dash cam for almost 7 months. it' works great, and produces a nice clear HD video. in response to another review here, it has a parking monitor that comes on when it senses and impact (bumps on the road will trigger it). the power cord fits perfectly in my vehicle, and it's long enough to run the power cord in the headliner, down the door post to the power outlet.

Q: How can I get continuous recording. Stops often. On the first one hour trial run, camera ran for five or ten minutes and then only for five minutes. Had to constantly restart the camera. This was on a highway with no stopping. Any suggestions for continuous recording? Uniden CAM500 W. Russell

A: make sure loop recording is turned off. this will make 10 min video clips

Q: Does the Uniden CAM500 & 650 dash video camera have Rearward as well as front recording simultaneously: specs say it has two lenses? In A previous question from another, please confirm rhat you can select the option to record your entire trip in real time on the 32G micro card until it is full, and from both frt & rear lens: or until unit is powered off..some other brands do

A: The Cam500, and all our current Dashcam models only record facing one direction. The cameras are designed to record continuously but save only event clips to the SD Card. The camera is not designed to record an entire journey continuously saved to the SD card for review. Those commercial type cameras are quite different from the accident focused cameras Uniden sells.
