Great until their not

Bought these for my 6 year old daughter. Made it through a light-use summer (once per 2 weeks). Got to winter and they were easy to convert to skates. The problem is, the plastic ankle buckle broke. Because outside 90 days, I also don't believe I can exchange them They were the cheaper option, but I guess you get what you pay for.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great skates, beware of sizing

My 10 yo, hockey playing son loves these. They're soft and comfortable and easy to adjust. We have had other, more expensive brands, but these seem to stack up just as well. I like that they can grow with the kids and the size range is good. The only comment I have is that the size says 5-8, but they are certainly much smaller than that. My son is a 3 and these fit him well in the smallest setting. His friend who is a size 5 needed them on the largest setting, so I'd say these are more like a 3-5, not 5-8. I'm an 8.5 and these are significantly smaller than my foot.

Q: Trying to understand sizing, it's missing size 12 and 13 range. Looking to fit shoe size 12, 1 seems would be too big, 11 sounds small. Help please?

A: These skates are adjustable for a few sizes, but the buckles are very hard to open and close, my granddaughter just pulls them off. There are three things that need to do to tighten them string, Velcro strap, buckle, much to hard for a little kids. I would not recommend these skates

Q: Are these supposed to come with only 1 brake on 1 foot?

A: Yes, only one brake. And unfortunately, that brake will wear out, quickly for a beginner, and Canadian Tire doesn't sell replacement brake pads, last time I checked. They can be found online, but usually require you to replace the whole brake assembly, so you pay more. Even though the skates work fine for my daughter, this aspect is wasteful and ridiculous!
