Ultimate Blast Horn dB Maximum

I Just bought and installed this Product. On the packaging it states it as a "Heart thumping 135 dB dual tones" However...upon installing it with or without the relay (& I used more than 1 decibel meter for testing purposes ) The product Rated only at an 86.6 dB at its Maximum. That is 48.4dB less than advertised.. Is the product defective or?

Got a chrome non-compact Stebel Nautilus

Opened the boxed to find a full size chome Stebel Nautilus. The two horn openings faced downward instead of to the side like in the product photo, and they were symetrical when looking at the horn from the side. Very loud and mostly chrome, with some greyish looking steel or aluminum compressor housing. No more idiot drivers caging me in while riding my motorcycle. They hear me now! Does a great job.

A hidden gem, if you look closely

These Ultimate Blast horns are repackaged name brand units -- I've heard there are a few different kinds sold under the same name for the same price, so you'll have to inspect the package to see exactly what's there. The picture in this listing shows a Fiamm, but the one I bought was actually a Stebel Nautilus Compact Motorcycle Airhorn. At $35.99 on sale, that's an awesome deal. The Stebel is high pitched but very, very loud. If you just hook it up to your existing horn wires it won't get nearly enough power, you really do need to wire it correctly with the relay. I'm only give 4 stars for quality because the relay that came with mine was faulty -- the circuit was always hot. Imagine my surprise when I hooked up the power and the horn went off immediately. I replaced it with a good Bosch relay and haven't had a problem since. This horn has already saved me from death-by-minivan; the driver didn't see me when he attempted to change lanes right over my motorcycle, but he certainly heard me.

its sounds like a mini air horn. it could be good for a motorcycle or something small but diffidently not for a truck. i returned it to Canadian tire. i guess a trip to the junk yard will do

A: This horn does not come with a button and is intended to be wired into the existing horn’s electrical system. We do sell a horn button kit (20-2077) for wiring in supplementary horns to a vehicle’s outwardly audible warning systems.
