Q: This product has a 5 amp limit. Do you have something similar that I can use with an air compressor (typically ~10 amps) to reach my trailer tires?

A: Finalement je me suis auto-répondu en achetant le produit. Oui ça fonctionne bien avec ma glacière 12V Coleman, donc je suppose qu'elle consomme moins de 5A quoi que ce doit être proche. Petite note en passant la qualité de la rallonge est moyenne et le connecteur 12V (femelle) retient mal le connecteur 12V mâle de la glacière, ça se déconnecte tout seul à cause de la vibration de la route. J'ai dû mettre une attache pour solidifier le tout.

Q: Can I change the fuse of this unit? 12V Straight Extension cord Product #37-4474-2 The fuse is rated as 5 amps. I would like to change it to a 10 amp. so it can be used with the Campbell Hausfeld 12 volt tire and raft inflator. It will be connected to a 20 amp socket.

A: I had the same problem... instant blowing of the fuse the second you turn on a tire compressor (inflator). If you up the amps on the fuse you risk overheating the wires and melting/fire. If you need an extension cord rated higher than 5amps, look elsewhere
