Great for outdoors

Heats food nicely within approx 5 minutes. Plastic clip to close lunchbox is flimsy and broke on day 1. However still works fine just won't fasten shut. My boyfriend works construction and has it plugged in to his work Truck and loves it.

2 of these units were purchased a xmas gifts for family members this year. Advertises heats in as little as 3 minutes however after 27 minutes of "heating" food was just slightly warmed on edges but still cold in middle.

No, I do not recommend this product.

HOT LUNCH

Great heater works very good , I've had mine for over 30 years and it still works great . The only thing i had to do was put a new power cord on it. One thing I would recommend though is use a glass container with foil on top. It keeps the food from burning on the bottom if you have to leave it heating for longer then expected. Just remember it may take a bit longer to heat.

Great for on the Road

Product was just what I was looking for. Great to have something that will heat food up while on the road. Looking forward to my first road trip to try it out. I was somewhat disappointed to find that the cord wasn't detachable to make it easier for packing, that would've been a great feature to have.

Q: Could this be used as a slowcooker when traveling for a long time?

A: The manual states that this device should not be used to cook foods. I decided to take matters into my own hands and used it as a "slow cooker" on a long trip this summer. Since this gets hotter than a slow cooker does on "high", you will need to keep an eye on it and reduce cooking times to avoid overcooking and burning food. My food was properly cooked after 4 hours.

Q: 2016 Lexus ES350 6 cylinder. The 12 volt plug indicates 120 watt maximum. Can this operate the food warmer with max 13.5 amp?

A: Without having the unit inspected it is difficult to say if the problem is in the warmer or the cord. We would recommend replacing the entire unit under a warranty exchange if possible.
