lid defective
a month ago
had this garbage bin for about a year and the lid started to not close properly and stays open half way. I changed the batteries and still not working properly.
No, I do not recommend this product.

The sensor is very sensitive

We have now had for one week, however the only thing is the sensor is rather sensitive and goes off when one walks past, you don't have to wave you hand directly above. Which, over all means the lid is opening up more then needed. Which I would see them wearing the batteries sooner.

Lid doesn't work after a year

I love the idea of this garbage can. We use it in our kitchen and love the hands-free concept, but we are on our third one now and the sensor on the lid just quits. I don't think we will go for a fourth one until this issue is resolved.

Q: I have motion sensor lid garbage can. The lid wouldn't open after batteries changed. Customer service said return it. Same with replacement. Tried removing batteries and pressing power. Now the lid won't open fully. Suggestions?

A: My only advice would be to return it and get your money back. I've had one for a little more than a year (I think) and it does the same thing. Pain to open it and it only works when I walk past . But that's my opinion,

A: If the garbage can is still under warranty, return it to Canadian Tire and exchange for another. Go into the store and look at the data that came with the can if y ou don't have yours still, and contact the manufacturer from there. Good Luck
