I've been doing this with the tank and pipe of my old naptha Coleman stove for years. This propane, specific design, is long overdue. As another reviewer mentioned, it will not start large or wet logs, but lets face it, one should not expect it to. Set up your crumpled newspaper or other starter, small kindling, then larger wood, and use this to get it all going evenly. It does a far better job than a single match, and it safer than pouring BBQ starter fluid or kerosene on a fire to get it going. NEVER use naptha ... The long shaft lets you reach properly in to the center of your campfire, impossible with a match.

Great with dry wood, ineffective with wet wood.

Used twice. First time the logs were damp and I could not get a fire started and gave up after about 5 minutes. I had to resort to the old fashion way of starting a small fire and feeding it with kindling until hot/large enough for the same logs to catch. The second time the logs were dry and I used the device because I was too lazy to build a proper fire and it worked very well.

En le faisant fonctionner pendant une minute lors de l'allumage du feu on aide vraiment le petit bois à brûler, et ce, même s'il est humide. Partir un feu dans des conditions difficiles est donc un jeu d'enfant! Il ne consomme pas beaucoup de propane, et me semble très sécuritaire à utiliser.
