It does split without getting lodged into wood. But it comes at a cost. You never get that feeling of slicing wood. Bad vibrations. And a nasty kick back for over swinging. Would not recommend.

Get it done Faster

This is a pretty cool axe for anyone needing to split logs for firewood. the unique design makes it easier to split the logs and much faster. The grip on the handle makes it easy to hold and comfortable to swing. It's a pretty large and heavy axe so it might be challenging for someone smaller to use.
