One part away from being great!

Excellent to get up and into the engine compartment for us vertically challenged folks driving 3/4 tons or larger. There should be a rubber stopper on the back of the step to prevent scratching to rims though. From my perspective this is a huge oversight!

Works great to reach 5th wheel hitch and the back of the truck. Safer than standing on tire. The pins with the cotter pins do fall out, so like the earlier viewer just add larger cotter pins. That is folds up is a nice feature. My DH loves it.

Great product with one flaw

Item is sturdy and I like it for the non slip platform. The part I dislike is that the pin and clips are easily lost due to the clips coming off. These pins and clip are for the tire size adjustment and for me it is just mu own truck so I just use cotter pins in place of the clips.

Sturdy but needs tweaks

The step is sturdy, has great traction and widely adjustable to fit a range of tire diameters and widths. I use it to access the roof mounted cargo box. The only two negatives are that I’ve already lost a few of the little cotterpins that hold the main pins in place. Buy larger replacement ones or run some pieces of wire through them to keep in place. Also I added some padding to the side of the down tube that rests against the front of the wheel to keep it from scratching my painted rims. Price is fair for what you get and I’d buy again.

Q: So what is the actual weight rating? In the description it says 330 pounds, but in the details it says 220. Thats a pretty big discrepancy. Please advise.

A: I weigh 220 and it holds me with no problems. it is pretty sturdy and I would think it will hold more weight than me. the only problem I have is the clevis pins pops out for the tire size adjustments and if you loose a clevis pin, either a cotter pin or buy some clevis pins.
