Very aggressive and does the job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a 20 year old Troy-Bilt tiller with this model. I did not realize what CRT actually meant and the operation of counter rotating tines is completely different between the two models. But I am growing to love the aggressive action of this tiller. My old one would bounce around and I would have to hold it back from jumping around. This one does a great job of breaking up the hard pan of untilled soil. A bit bigger than my old Bronco and really enjoy the nice upgrades in controls

Yes, I recommend this product.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: The Troy Bilt rear Tyne tiller. What HP is the 208 cc

2 Answers
  • A: The industry has moved to describing air cooled engines using displacement in cc's, a highly reliable and consistent way to rate an engine’s capacity. While no longer rated in horsepower, rest assured that this engine has been carefully chosen to provide ample power for this premium rear tine tiller.

Q: The earth I need to plow contains stones from egg size to mango size. Can the tines stand up to occasional contact with that?

  • A: our soil is clay..and lots of rocks..we've been tilling the NEW garden plot and it seems to spit them stones right out..all size stones..it may buck a little when it hits a big one, but just lift up the handle a little, then it just goes along again...tines are still in great shape.
