I was reluctant to get a 20" machine but you can always get a shorter bar and chain. I just cut through a large pine stump with no problem The price was right.

Good Power, Serious Safety Problems The saw has decent power and cuts well. That is where the positives end. It leaks bar oil everywhere, even when sitting. Several components are made from cheap plastic and do not inspire confidence. More seriously, the chain continues running with the chain brake engaged. The chain also frequently spins during startup without any throttle input. I have run enough chainsaws to know the difference between a minor adjustment and a dangerous mechanical defect. A chain brake that does not stop the chain is unacceptable. Power means nothing if the saw cannot be operated safely. I would not recommend it.

No carb hi low adjustments. Chain adjuster set in plastic, cheap gear drive will not mesh to tighten chain, too much play.

Troy built 20 inch chain saw

This chainsaw worked well and I was able to fell a 60 spruce tree and cut it into 12" workable pieces. Not the best cold starting but I have found out it definitely needs to be primed 10 pumps as mentioned in the instructions and at least 5 on warm start start ups. pne of the two clips on the case broken on the first day of use, hence the 4 star review, otherwise decent chain saw for the price
