Q: Will this paint stick to zinc plated braces? I'm trying to hide the silver color.

2 Answers
  • A: I used it on wrought iron metal and it worked well for that application, but I’m not sure it would work on zinc plated material, it may not adhere/bond to it.

Q: Can I spray this right over existing paint? Just got a brand new steel roof rack. Cheers.

  • A: I would sand the surface as much as possible to ensure a better paint bond. Give it a day or so to try and do another coat. I would stay away from the clear coat from the same brand. It didn't work for me. Good luck!

Q: Will this work on mold on unfinished drywall in the garage?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Jax71, Our Tremclad Rust paint is not effective on mold. We recommend using our Concrobium Mold Control first to kill any mold on the drywall. Allow the antimicrobial to dry completely, typically around 2 hours. Once dry, use a cloth dampened with Concrobium Mold Control to remove any dead mold and to wipe away any excess residue. Allow the drywall to then dry for a full 24 hours to avoid any adhesion issues with the Tremclad paint.
