Q: Hi , A customer wants us to paint with Tremclad after sandblasting his dumpster bin. Our painter says it needs 24 hours to put a second coat on it even if heated to 24 degrees centigrade. Is that true ? Also what is the expected life on dumpster bins ?

A: Hi, Great question! We do not recommend our Tremclad for automobile applications. The coating will not be able to withstand the amount of wear & tear it will be exposed to and would require frequent touch ups. We hope this new information is helpful.

A: Hi Patrick, Our Tremclad Oil-Based Rust Paint is for metal surfaces only. For fiberglass, you can use our Painter's Touch Ultra Cover 2X. Clean the surface well and scuff sand the surface with 220-grit sandpaper for maximum adhesion.
