Very happy with this lamp. It was easy to assemble, looks good. Quite sturdy. Offers a lot of light to read by. This goes well with our older home.

I bought two of these on sale the other day. I really like them, they have a really nice shape and as said "are heavy" based, so won't fall over.
I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 as I returned one for a replacement as the leaded areas on one shade was quite off, some of the leading covered the glass areas too much IMO. I am picky and like things as perfect as I can buy them, so bothered me enough to return the one. Some of the very bottom edges of the leading on both shades are over the bottom of the shades but not going up the outside, so hoping they stay okay and they don't eventually break open in the future because of weakness in those areas.
They are still lovely to look at and I am happy with my purchases.

I`ve only had this lamp for about 2 weeks. So far it does the trick.
It is more for decoration then reading. When lit it looks very nice and I`ve had several compliments on it.

fell apart

I bought this floor lamp and a table lamp a few years ago, and had enjoyed them immensely, up until last week when the floor lamp started to fall apart. Honestly, I was just sitting there, and heard a sound, turned to look at the lamp, and it was falling off the post, as piece by piece of glass just started coming apart from the centre piece. I managed to grab the shade just before it hit the floor.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Is it normal for glass pieces on lamp to appear to be separating? I just bought this lamp, and have notice that two of the many pieces of glass appear to be separating? I am wondering if this is normal or is it something to worry about?

A: I would return it and get an exchange if I were you. If you do, ask the store to open the package so you can check out the stained glass shade better. The leading joining the glass on the 2 I bought and 1 I returned doesn't look really perfect on any of the shades IMO but the stained glass in the shades are still really really pretty. If you don't want to return it, you can get some liquid leading to try and fill the gaps. I have used liquid leading on other stained glass lamps that were broken to create another design on a lamp so the broken area wasn't noticeable and it has held up well.
