    Amazing treadmill

I bought this treadmill over 11 years ago and I still use it to this day. I’ve used it regularly through those 11 years as well. I walk, jog and run. It has become loud in its old age but that wasn’t an issue till recently. If this treadmill was still available I would buy another one when this one dies. I remember I got it on sale for just over $400 and I’ve gotten way more value out of it than that. It folds up seamlessly and is easy to move out of the way. I don’t have one bad thing to say about this treadmill. I will be very sorry when it’s gone. I’ve logged a lot of miles on that thing!!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

I have had this treadmill for 4 years. I weigh 132 lbs. and do a combination walk/run ranging from 3-6 miles per hour for 25 minutes 5 days a week. This is an excellent simple treadmill without loads of unnecessary confusing bells and whistles, It is affordable and has a small footprint, which the main feature that I was looking for. Very happy.

This is not a treadmill for anyone weighing 200lbs or more I think. It's small, compact and narrow and I don't think it can handle a lot of weight. I use it about 2-3 times per week and I have had it since February 2012 and it is still working perfectly. It has a manual program as well as a weight loss program which I use almost every time because it switches speeds every 2 minutes, but you can still adjust the speed to your liking during the program. It's very durable and simple. It only goes up to 6mph and there is no incline option. So if you are looking for a simple treadmill that will take up very little space this is the one for you.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    4 months treadmill

If you are a light treadmill user maybe this one is for you if we were to believe all the other reviewers here. This treadmill will die after 4 months of continuous usage and maybe die after 4 years for someone that uses it once a week and maybe weights 100 pounds and maybe only walks on it. In my case after 4 months of sustained 4-6 miles/hours 30 minutes/day jogging the two metal supports underneath the belts simply broke. I weight 200 pounds which I expect would be the average weight for any male looking to buy a treadmill :) The overall impression is pretty frail and it will not go more than 6miles/h.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Motor problem Just purchased the unit. Lub the running deck and then turned on the treadmill. The display would turn on fine but the motor doesn't seem to want to work. It makes this click sound and then it's silent. Any thoughts? Thanks.

    • A: Call the help line and speak to the person down in the United States. They will go through the trouble shooting and send you the part to fix or send a tech if needed. Don't make the mistake I did when my same treadmill didn't work and I thought the store would take it back with the receipt. You're stuck with a broken treadmill that Canadian Tire doesn't want back so good luck!

    • A: I just registered my treadmill for the warranty online. This is the main website www.tempo-fitness.com If you go to this site you will find the manuals for all the tempo products on line including the Evolve model. There are two bars on the end of the treadmill and flip outward as well as flip down leaver under the treadmill that becomes visible after you stand it up on the two pull out stabilizer bars. I would recommend visiting the website for a full explanation. Lisa

Q: How to set speed slower than 1.0 kph? Product description specifically indicates the speed is 0 - 10 kph, not 1 - 10 kph, and product supports 0.1 increments, so that would mean it is possible, right?

    2 Answers
    • A: Actually, the website does not say 1-10 kph, it says exactly: 'Speeds - 0-10 km/h' (see screenshot).

    • A: The "Tredmill User's Guide" talks about regular maintance. It sounds like there are particles that have accumulated underneath the tredmill (vacuum it) or in the motor. They tell you to take off the motor cover (once unplugged) and clean it. This is on page 22 of your user guide..
