poor workmanship

I bought 2 of these units and if I had not already built it they would have gone back even thou it is 45 minutes both ways. On both units the same door was not finished on the top and the side panel finish was peeling off I do not think the plant where they a made has zero quality control. I find it hard to believe Canadian Tire lowers their standards to this level but maybe that is why they advertise as a special purchase
No, I do not recommend this product.

A nice shelving unit

Unless they came to your house and put it together I don't know how much easier they can make things. You would have to be very inept to not put this together correctly. They drill the holes so everything lines up perfect. They mark the pieces and give a assembly sheet. If you can read and are not impatient it goes together very easy. Then there are adjustments on the metal hinges if you need to adjust the doors.
I bought one for the nursery and it comes with a bracket to secure to the wall to keep it from tipping. A thoughtful and necessary bracket. Yes it is particle board but I bet you liked the price compared to solid wood for ten times the price.

I just cannot believe that Canadian Tire would sell furniture with such cheap hardware with their household furniture. Who uses plastic door closures? This product has plastic closures, plastic handles and yet metal hinges. The doors keep popping open because the plastic WON'T HOLD THEM CLOSED! Save your money.

i just bought this cabinet to reorganise my kitchen...my husband started to assemble it and had to stop because the piece marked with the letter "A" , the holes are not aligned with the rest of the holes , the corner on the bottom of the shelf is broken! i'm going to call the company to see if they can send us a new piece...otherwise the cabinet itself is ok...for the price!

A: Yes they are adjustable. There are 3 holes to choose from. Take the pegs and move them. The center one is fixed so it is designed for strength not to move.

A: We cannot recommend painting the unit. The unit is covered with a paper laminate and the paint will not adhere to it. Altering the unit in any way will void the manufactures warranty.
