This Suzuki Short Shaft Outboard Motor is perfect for small crafts, such as square stern canoes, small tender and inflatables. It’s the lightest 4-stroke Suzuki outboard to date. The compact size and powerful engine make this outboard motor incredibly portable and easy to use, while the built-in fuel tank holds up to 1 litre of fuel. The throttle has an easy-to-use twist grip, while the motor has versatile steering that moves 360 degrees.

Terrific Little Engine

Terrific built quality. Lightest engine in its class. Not only cheaper than it's competitors, but cheaper than Suzuki dealers and I can use/accumulate CT Money. Hoping Canadian Tire can offer larger engines soon (e.g., 20 hp).

Q: Does this engine have reverse gear?

A: Hello and thank you for your question. The Suzuki DF2.5 does not include a reverse gear, however, does include a neutral gear. For reversing, the motor has the ability to swivel 360 degrees, which allows you to simply turn the motor and tiller handle to reverse.
